As soon as i arrived for my consultation he put me at ease explaining the different procedures taking his time when doing the tests.He made a second appointment for me to check my hearing didn't deteriorate after treatment. Very thorough and excellent manner. He explained everything to me and gave me reassurance in a knowledgeable and kind way. I saw him 3 times on the NHS and am now on his waiting list for some surgery. I have full faith in him and am confident I will feel better for it. I would definitely recommend him to other patients.

I consulted with Mr. Simmons privately and I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the examination and the time and care Mr. Simmons took in understanding my concerns. Mr. Simmons advised me against surgery even though, as a private patient, it was in his financial interest to recommend it. Mr Simmons came across to me as a man of integrity who explained fully the risks involved in surgery and the limits to what any surgeon can achieve.

I was afraid I had some kind of cancer so initially I saw Mark privately (as it turned out I didn't) but I couldn't have wished for a better consultant in such circumstances. He explained what he would do, talked me through the testing processes and never once made me feel as though I was a time waster. I only wish other consultants were as good at relating to their patients!
